The Long Term Solution To Wood Destroying Organisms

Prevail offers our customers a viable alternative to costly structural (tent) fumigation.  This pre- or post-construction treatment utilizes custom built high pressure misting equipment, allowing our trained Technicians to apply a one-time treatment for the prevention of drywood termites, subterranean termites, wood boring beetles, wood decaying fungi, and mold.

1.       Bora-Care Treatment is designed to protect the wood for the life of the structure.

2.       Can be applied in various methods as either full structure or localized treatments.

3.       Penetrates deep into the wood where the termites feed.

4.       Will not break down therefore providing long lasting wood protection.

5.       Termites ingest the Bora-Care and it accumulates in their systems acting as a slow stomach poison.

6.       Termites transfer the ingested poison to one another during the transfer of food from workers to nymphs, soldiers and reproductive, eradicating the colony.

7.       Colorless and odorless so termites can’t detect it.

Effective wood penetrating system

When Bora-Care is applied as a mist, spray or foam to wood, it penetrates into the wood.  This penetration is dependent upon the moisture in the construction    material.  Because the active   ingredient does not break down, Bora-Care is always available to be drawn deeper into the wood.  Since the   product is slow      acting, drywood termites and other wood destroying organisms may feed on treated wood, accumulate the Bora-Care and still move among other   individuals in the colony.

Protection  now and in the future

When Bora-Care is applied to the   structural wood, it is protecting the home or structure both now and in the future.  When Bora-Care treated wood gets wet, Bora-Care effectively stops wood decay until the wood has time to dry.

Bora-Care’s patented glycol formula not only penetrates wood, but because the active ingredient, Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate (DOT), is a natural mineral salt, it remains for the life of the wood, protecting it against wood destroying organisms, including wood decay fungi, drywood and subterranean termites, Formosan termites, carpenter ants, wood boring beetles and mold.
